De-Stress

If you are one of a certain group of people, like me, you might be like a sponge, soaking in all of the stress of other people's problems or life events.
That's because you truly care about these people and always want to be there for them. I have always been a good listener but sometimes I can get stressed because of it, (usually when I am already stressed out over something else) because I sometimes try to offer solutions to their problems.

But, you can make the decision to relax and solve this problem, by being more SUPPORTIVE instead of trying to SOLVE their problems. By doing this you can be flying high knowing you can still be a good listener and letting your friend or family member know you care by offering supportive words. Just tell them, they can do it, anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

  1. Oh Liz, You are so wise, it seems we have a lot in common and I do worry about my friends and other people and their problems. "Stress," is my middle name. One of my friend has money problems and I rent my home from her but, if someting need fixing I will try to fix it myself or not tell her until I just have say something about what happened and the list goes on.. Hugs

  2. I know exactly what you mean. I'm the same way because I always have so much empathy for people(and animals)that sometimes they have moved past what's bothered them, and I'm still worrying about it. It's important to take care of yourself and not let it wear you down.

You are so right when you say that we can't and shouldn't try to solve everyone's problems. Just listening is often enough.

I love the last two pictures for this post. You crack me up!

  3. Wise words.......since you can't really solve their problems anyway. Knowing when to let go and let them do themselves is an art, I think. One more people could benefit from.
